At a meeting with my agent in Jaipur India, I spotted from the corner of my eye an artisan holding a green rock. Intrigued, to asked to see it and to hear more details. Soon it was mine with the lapidarist sitting on the ground with his wheel, tray and water hose! The rock emerged to be a beautiful emerald, like in the story of the ugly duckling becoming a magnificent swan.
